Who we are

Akuru App is an equal joint venture between two companies registered in Sri Lanka: Leafy Code International (Pvt) Ltd and mooniak (Pvt) Ltd. Both companies are equally responsible for this website and for the information described on this page, and both are bound by this policy — you can hold either of us to it. Our shared address and phone number are at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

We only collect what we actually need:

• Your name and email — if you join the waitlist or email us. You give this to us on purpose; we never buy it from anyone.
• Payment details — when we start charging for Akuru App, you will pay through WEBXPAY, our payment gateway. Your card number never reaches us and we never store it. WEBXPAY handles it and tells us only whether the payment worked, the amount, and a reference number.
• Basic visit information — our hosting provider records things like your IP address, browser type, and which pages loaded. This is standard server logging and is used to keep the site working and secure.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles about you.

Why we use it

• To send you the app and updates you signed up for.
• To take payment, send receipts, and handle refunds.
• To answer your questions and provide support.
• To keep the site running, fix problems, and prevent fraud.
• To meet accounting and legal duties in Sri Lanka.

We do not send marketing email to people who did not ask for it. If we do email you about the product, every message has a way to stop them.

Who else sees it

We never sell your information. We share it only with the companies that make this service work, and only with what they need:

• WEBXPAY — processes card payments and refunds.
• Our hosting provider — serves this website to your browser.
• Google — our waitlist form runs on Google Forms, and our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your IP address when a page loads.

We may also share information if the law requires it — for example, a valid order from a court or a regulator.

How long we keep it

Waitlist and contact details are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until they are clearly no longer needed. Payment and invoice records are kept for as long as Sri Lankan tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period and then removed.

How we protect it

This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Payments run through WEBXPAY, which is built for handling card data securely. Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly safe, but if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
• stop sending you emails.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies to track you. If we add anything in future that needs a cookie, we will say so here first.

Children

Akuru App is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use Akuru App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
